Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers for Participants, Hosts, and Facilitators.

How do I find a Grace Group?
ParticipantFacilitator

Use Find a Group, enter your address, and compare nearby groups by meeting time, location area, series, and availability.

What happens after I submit a request to join?
Participant

The group Host will review your request. You will receive a follow-up email once the Host approves, declines, or asks a clarifying question.

What is the difference between a Host and a Facilitator?
HostFacilitatorParticipant

A Host provides the meeting place and manages practical group details. A Facilitator guides the weekly discussion and prepares with the current series resources. One person may do both.

How do I request to host a group?
Host

Use the Host a Group request form on the home page. Share your proposed schedule and meeting location, and the Leadership Team will follow up with next steps.

Where can I see a list of my current group members?
Host

Open Host Tools, then open Membership Settings and expand Current Group Members. The list is collapsed by default and shows each active member’s name, role, email, and phone number. You can also choose Email Me This Roster to receive the current list at your verified Host email address.

Can I approve or decline several new-member requests at once?
Host

Yes. In New Member Requests, check the people you want to act on—or use Select All—then choose Approve Selected or Decline Selected. If approving everyone would take the group above its current Maximum Participants, Host Tools will tell you the resulting group size and ask you to confirm the increase before continuing.

What happens when my group reaches Maximum Participants?
Host

If Accepting New Members remains checked, future requests are placed on your waitlist. If approving a member fills the last available spot, any other still-pending join requests are moved to the waitlist and those people are notified by email. You can later increase Maximum Participants or admit people from the waitlist.

How do I manage my group’s waitlist?
Host

The Waitlist appears inside Membership Settings. You can select one or more people and choose Admit Selected or Remove Selected. If admitting the selected people would exceed your current Maximum Participants, Host Tools will show the new maximum and require confirmation before increasing it.

Can I facilitate without hosting?
FacilitatorHost

Yes. You may facilitate in someone else's home. Use the Facilitator option in Find a Group to identify groups that need help, or volunteer with any group where you would be willing to facilitate.

Where do Facilitators find training and weekly resources?
Facilitator

Use Facilitator Tools for training information, current-series materials, expectations, and a direct way to ask the Leadership Team a question.
